About Us
Our Partnership
The Tonbridge and West Kent Partnership aims to create a link between primary and Secondary schools within the local area in order to improve the quality and provision of PE and sport for all young people.
The 37 Primary schools are clustered according to geography in order to make training, festivals and meetings more accessible for everyone involved. We have the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Edenbridge Clusters. Each clusters is led and managed by an SSCO from a local Secondary School.
The work we do within the partnership is measured by a PESSCL questionnaire which is completed by all schools annually. Schools can receive Active Mark and Sports Mark awards depending on their individual results. This year the Partnership has, for the first time, received the Partnership Mark Award for achieving 91% of all pupils taking part in at least 2 hours quality PE and School Sport.
This year we are also pleased to announce that:
26 Primary Schools were awarded Active Mark
4 Secondary Schools were awarded Sports Mark
1 Special School was awarded Sports Mark
